Understanding the Report Configuration Matrix

Overview

The Report Configuration Matrix explains how report types map to monitor contexts, which report-specific options are available, and which capabilities can be enabled per report. It provides a single conceptual reference to understand report behavior before configuration and execution.

In this article, you will understand:

  • How report types differ by monitor type dependency
  • Which report-specific fields and value sets are available
  • How feature toggles and filters vary between reports

What is the Report Configuration Matrix?

The Report Configuration Matrix is a structured reference model for report setup. It shows the relationship between a report and its execution context, including monitor requirements, field-level options, and feature availability. Instead of describing steps, it defines what is configurable and where constraints exist.

This model helps teams align report configuration with operational expectations:

  • Determine whether a report requires an active monitor type or can run independently
  • Select valid value sets for report-specific fields
  • Understand which output and feature flags are applicable for each report

The table below lists all reports with their monitor type, report-specific configuration fields, supported file formats, and available features.
