A value maintained as OIB that has the structure of the old thirteen-digit JMBG, which the OIB replaced in 2009, is now flagged so that the record can be updated. - **Argentina:** two new identifier types are available: `AR_CDI` (Clave de Identificación, assigned by AFIP to natural persons who hold neither a CUIT nor a CUIL) and `AR_DNI` (Documento Nacional de Identidad). The CUIL is now checked for its check digit and against the DNI it contains. - **Canada:** the Harmonized Sales Tax number is now checked for its format and check digit, and against the Business Number it is built from. The Provincial Sales Tax identifier (`PST_CA`) now refers to British Columbia only, written as PST followed by eight digits, for example PST-1234-5678. Manitoba and Saskatchewan are documented as separate identifier types. New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Prince Edward Island apply the Harmonized Sales Tax instead. - **Azerbaijan:** the ten-digit Tax Registration Number has a new description. The Personal Identification Number (PIN) is now available as a dedicated identifier type with its own format rule. - **South Korea:** the Business Registration Number is now available as a dedicated identifier type next to the VAT registration number, with format and check digit rules. **Corrected EU VAT identifier descriptions:** - `EU_VAT_ID_LT` (Lithuania): the 12-digit VAT number is described as the ordinary format for companies registered since about 2004, not as a temporary registration. - `EU_VAT_ID_PT` (Portugal): a Portuguese VAT number is valid in VIES only after the taxpayer has declared intra-EU operations. - `EU_VAT_ID_SE` (Sweden) and `EU_VAT_ID_EE` (Estonia): every VAT-registered business receives a VAT number, not only intra-EU traders. Every Swedish VAT number ends in `01`. - `EU_VAT_ID_NL` (Netherlands): named *btw-identificatienummer*. Since 2020 it no longer contains a sole trader's personal number (BSN). **Corrected official names, issuing bodies and links:** - `DE_TAX_ID` (Germany) is attributed to the local tax office, and `EU_VAT_ID_DE` to the Federal Central Tax Office (BZSt). - `EU_VAT_ID_HU` (Hungary) carries its legal name *közösségi adószám* and names the Tax and Customs Administration as issuer. `HU_CRN`, `HU_TAX_ID` and `HU_TIN` carry their official Hungarian names. - France: the description of `EU_VAT_ID_FR` was corrected, links in `FR_RC` and `FR_SIRENE` to the closed sirene.fr site were replaced, and the legal form SAS (`FR_1687`) now sits in the correct category. - The Register of Donation Recipients (`DE.ZER`) now links to its current address, [https://zer.bzst.de/](https://zer.bzst.de/).
