New data source: Pennsylvania Business Register (US)

2026-09-17

CDQ Lookup now includes registered businesses from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The data comes from the official open dataset of the Pennsylvania Department of State.

What you can look up:

  • Legal name
  • Filing number
  • Registered address

How to activate Pennsylvania Business Register data source?

This source is available immediately. To start using it for data enrichment and verification, simply enable it in CDQ cloud app: Global Settings ➡️ Reference Data Source Management ➡️ Activate US-PA.BER

Country-specific data source selection in the Lookup configuration

2026-09-11

You can now define per country which data sources the lookup searches.

For each country you list the data sources that should be used. If a country has its own selection, only those sources are searched — the others are skipped completely. If a country is not configured, nothing changes: all active data sources are used, as before.

The setting is available directly in the Business Partner Lookup endpoint request (dataSourcesPerCountry), in the Augmentation Configuration, and in the CDQ Cloud App under First Time Right → Request Settings → Lookup.

This helps you get cleaner results. For each country you can search only the register that is authoritative there, instead of getting candidates from sources that are not relevant for that country.

Slovenian Business Register (SI.BR) is now available in CDQ

2026-09-09

CDQ now integrates the Business Register of Slovenia (PRS), the central public register of all business entities based in Slovenia. It is maintained by AJPES, the Slovenian agency for public legal records, and it is the official source for Slovenian company data.

The register covers commercial companies, sole proprietors, non-profit entities, and other registered entities, including branches of foreign companies that operate in Slovenia. For each entity, the following data is available:

  • registration number
  • full legal name
  • business address
  • legal form
  • business partner type (legal entity or organizational unit)

The business parter type tells you directly whether a record is a legal entity or one of its organizational units, such as a branch or another part of a business entity. This helps you assign incoming data to the right level of your business partner hierarchy.

The register is broad in scope. Companies registered in the court register make up about 35% of all entities, sole proprietors and natural persons about 42%, and other entity types the remaining 23%. This means you can validate not only classic companies, but also small entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations.

AJPES publishes an updated file twice a month, so the data in CDQ stays close to the official register.

Availability

SI.BR is available to every CDQ customer for free. To start using it, activate the source in Global Settings → Reference Data Source Management.

Get an international address version alongside the local one in a single curation request

2026-09-07

Single address curation can now return a second, international (English/Latin) version of the address next to the locally curated one.

To use it, enable the ENRICH_INTERNATIONAL_ADDRESS feature in your curation request. An additional enrichment step then takes the address from your request and looks it up once at the address provider (HERE / Google) in English/Latin. The provider's answer is added to the response as a separate address, labelled with the language version 'en'.

This is useful when you need both forms — for example for loading data into SAP S/4 or other ERP/MDG systems, for cross-border search and matching, or so that reviewers can read an address in a language they know. You no longer need a second request or manual rework.

The feature is optional and switched off by default. If you do not enable it, curation works exactly as before and returns one address version.

Introducing the Tax Guard Monitor – Continuous Identifier Qualification

2026-09-04

We are pleased to announce the Tax Guard Monitor, a new data monitor that qualifies business partner identifiers continuously against official registers, instead of only on demand through a single request.

Until now, identifier qualification was available as a single-request service via the /qualify endpoint. With the Tax Guard Monitor, you can point a dedicated Tax Guard configuration at your Data Mirror and have your business partners qualified on an ongoing basis — with results available in Cloud Apps, in the API, and in a dedicated report.

What's new

  • A new monitor type: Qualification. Tax Guard Monitor is now available alongside the Data Quality, Augmentation and Duplicate monitors in the Data Clinic app. It can be activated, configured and re-run like any other monitor.
  • Qualification results in the processing log. The processing log has been extended with a qualificationResults structure, so every qualification decision — per identifier, name, locality, post code and thoroughfare — is stored and retrievable, not just returned in a live response.
  • A dedicated Tax Guard Configurator app. Tax Guard configurations are created and maintained in their own app in Cloud Apps, separate from data validation configurations.
  • A new Tax Guard Qualification Report. The full qualification outcome for the monitored business partners can be downloaded from the Reports tab in Data Clinic.

Tax Guard configuration

A Tax Guard configuration is built from three elements:

  • Qualification profile — choose between EU TAX Qualification for European tax identifiers and Worldwide TAX Qualification for global coverage.
  • Features — four options can be switched on or off: SHOW LOOKUP RESULTS, SHOW BUSINESS PARTNER, SHOW DEBUG INFO and FORCE EXTERNAL CALL.
  • Data sources — 18 reference sources can be selected for qualification: AR.NRC, AT.CR, AT.FON, AU.BR, BR.RF, BZST, CA.CR, CH.UIDR, CZ.REE, DK.CR, EU.EORI, FR.RC, NO.RBE, PL.NOBR, SG.BR, UK.EORI, UK.VAT, VIES.

Configurations are validated when they are created or saved, so an incomplete or contradictory setup is reported immediately rather than failing later during a monitor run. A Tax Guard configuration uses a qualification profile and cannot be mixed with a validation profile.

Further improvements

  • Clearer job labelling. In Refresh Jobs for data monitors, a Tax Guard run is now shown as Tax Guard Qualification instead of Validation, so it is immediately clear which monitor a job belongs to.
  • Re-evaluation prompt on configuration changes. When you change a Tax Guard configuration, you are asked whether the affected business partners should be re-evaluated — consistent with the behaviour of the other monitors.
  • More precise message for inactive identifiers. When an identifier was valid in the past but is no longer registered as active, the response now states that the identifier status is INACTIVE and that the qualification results are provided against the latest known values. Previously this case was indistinguishable from a genuinely unknown identifier.

Why this matters

Tax and business identifiers do not stay correct. Registrations are withdrawn, companies move, and names change — and a one-off check at record creation does not catch any of it. Continuous qualification means deviations between your master data and the official register are surfaced as they arise, which supports VAT determination, invoice compliance and audit evidence over the whole lifetime of a business partner record, not just at onboarding.

How to activate the Tax Guard Monitor

  1. Open Cloud Apps and go to Global Settings ➡️ Reference Data Source Management to activate the data sources you want to qualify against.
  2. Create a Tax Guard configuration in the Tax Guard Configurator app: select the qualification profile, the features and the data sources.
  3. In Data Clinic, create a new data monitor of type Qualification and assign your Tax Guard configuration to it.
  4. Run the monitor, then review the results in Data Clinic or download the Tax Guard Qualification Report from the Reports tab.

A step-by-step tutorial is available in the CDQ Developer Portal: How to set up Tax Guard Monitor.

Netherlands Business Register Integration

2026-09-02

We are excited to announce the addition of the official Dutch Business Register (Kamer van Koophandel – KVK) to the CDQ Platform data provider portfolio. This integration allows users to perform company lookups, matching, and data quality checks for legal entities registered in the Netherlands using KVK’s official Zoeken (Search) service.

Key Features & Access

  • Commercial Data Provider: KVK is a premium commercial data source providing verified, high-quality data directly from the official Dutch registry.
  • API Key Required: To activate and search this data source in CDQ, you must provide your own KVK API Key, which can be obtained directly from the KVK Developer Portal.
  • Fuzzy & Multi-Criteria Search: Search capabilities are not limited to exact identifier matches. The integration supports fuzzy searching by full or partial criteria, including:
  • Company / Trade Name
  • Street name and House number
  • Postal code and City
  • KVK Registration Number
  • Branch / Location Number
  • Fiscal / Tax Number (RSIN)

Available Attributes in Search Records

Search results fetched from the KVK API are normalized and mapped into the CDQ Data Model, providing access to the following attributes per record:

  • Business identifiers
  • KVK Number
  • Branch number
  • RSIN Tax Identification Number
  • Entity names
  • Address information
  • Entity status

How to Enable

  1. Generate an API Key in the KVK Developer Portal.

  2. Go to CDQ Cloud App: Global Settings ➡️ Reference Data Source Management.

  3. Add your KVK API Key to the NL.BR data source.

  4. Save and activate the source.

Update on Data Quality Rules

2026-09-02

In our latest data quality rules update we have introduced new rules, modified old ones and we improved regular expressions affecting different kinds of rules. The list of the changes is the following:

July 2026

2026-07-21

Belgium is a multilingual country, and legal forms are often available in both French and Dutch (e.g., SRL – Société à responsabilité limitée / BV – Besloten Vennootschap). Previously, the language returned for a company's legal form in the BE.CCD data source depended on the internal order of values in our metadata, rather than on the company's actual location - which could result in the "wrong" language being shown for a given company.

We've now improved this by determining the legal form language based on the postal code of the company's registered address, aligning with Belgium's regional language areas:

  • 1000–1499 → FR
  • 1500–3999 → NL
  • 4000–7999 → FR
  • 8000–9999 → NL

As a result, companies located in Dutch-speaking regions will now consistently receive their legal form in Dutch (e.g., BV), and companies in French-speaking regions will receive it in French (e.g., SRL). For companies located in the Brussels-Capital Region, the legal form defaults to French.

This change applies to the BE.CCD data source only.

Small Update on Data Quality Rules

2026-07-09

In our latest data quality rules update we have improved some rules, mainly by improving related regular expressions. The list of the changes is the following:

With all the mentioned changes we have significantly improved Data Quality Rules in order to provide better results with higher accuracy and quality. The CNPJ changes allow us to follow new law regulations of CNPJ format that are effective since 1.07.2026. All changes are already available.

Source Transparency & Data Freshness: New Indicators in First Time Right

2026-04-16

What’s New?

We’ve added Source Indicators and Freshness Timestamps to the search results in the First Time Right (FTR) application. Now, you can instantly see where your data comes from and how recently it was verified. Key Features

  • CDQ vs. Live Badges:

  • CDQ: Indicates the record is retrieved from the CDQ Database.

  • Live: Indicates a real-time query to an external provider (e.g., AT.FON, VIES, or other external registers).

  • Data Freshness Icon ("i"): Next to each indicator, you’ll find a small information icon. Clicking on this icon reveals the Last Sync Date. This tells you exactly when the record was retrieved from the source. Why this matters?

This update gives you full control over data reliability. By knowing both the origin and the age of the information, you can confidently choose the most accurate and up-to-date record for your business partners.

Integration of US National Plan & Provider Enumeration System (US.NPPES)

2026-03-19

We have integrated a new data source from the United States – the National Plan & Provider Enumeration System (NPPES), provided by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

NPPES was established under the Administrative Simplification provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) to assign unique identifiers to healthcare providers and organizations. It serves as an official registry of entities operating within the U.S. healthcare ecosystem.

With this integration, CDQ expands its coverage in the healthcare domain by providing access to verified business partner data from the U.S. market. The dataset includes both healthcare organizations and individual healthcare professionals.

Records retrieved from NPPES include key attributes such as:

  • name
  • addresses (including headquater, mailing and practice/location addresses)
  • status
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • category (healthcare organization or healthcare professional)
  • contact details (phone numbers)

This integration enables more accurate identification and enrichment of healthcare-related business partners in CDQ.

New Reports Available in Data Clinic

2026-01-08

We are excited to introduce three new reports designed to give you deeper insights into your Business Partner data, data quality, enrichment, sanctions screening, and overlap detection processes. These reports consolidate key monitoring outputs and make it easier to analyze results at scale.

Data Quality & Augmentation Report

The Data Quality & Augmentation Report provides a combined view of data quality profiling results and augmentation outcomes—all in one file.

This report includes four main sections:

  • Business Partner data from the mirror – core attributes such as name, country, city, and thoroughfare
  • Validation results – full list of errors, warnings, and informational messages generated by the Data Quality Monitor
  • Identifiers – combined augmentation and validation results, including confirmation of identifier status and values in reference data sources, check digit verification, format checks, and existence checks
  • Other augmentation results – enriched attributes such as names, legal form, status, and addresses To make full use of this report, both the Data Quality Monitor and the Augmentation Monitor must be enabled.

AML Guard Audit Trail Report

The AML Guard Audit Trail Report provides detailed information about findings and actions taken during sanctions screening.

The report includes:

  • Identified sanction cases – where each Business Partner was found (data sources, list types, total number of matches)
  • Actions and decisions taken for each Business Partner
  • Screening metadata supporting auditability and compliance To generate this report, the Sanction Monitor must be enabled.

This report is designed to support compliance teams by offering a clear audit trail of screening events and decisions.

Overlap Report

The Overlap Report provides insights into lookup and overlap results based on the Augmentation Monitor output.

In this report, for each Business Partner included in the monitor, we present:

  • The Golden Record

  • Additional lookup results relevant to the overlap configuration

To use this report, the Augmentation Monitor must be enabled with Overlap configured in its scope.

This allows users to understand similarities, duplicates, and potential overlaps across their dataset and external reference sources.
