How to monitor natural person?

Use Case

This use case describes the recommended use of CDQ Cloud Services for establishing continuous screening of natural persons.

Learning Goals

In this tutorial, the user will be focused on:

  • Creating augmentation configuration using Augmentation Configurator cloud app.
  • Creating data monitor based on prepared configuration using Data Clinic cloud app.
  • Analysing augmented data with the generation Natural Person Screening report in the Data Clinc cloud app.
Remember

This tutorial is based on local data and specific naming. The presented results will be different from yours.

Login

Log into the CDQ Cloud Apps

Authorization

If you have no access to the CDQ Cloud App, ask your internal point of contact to create a CDQ dedicated account. Account details will be sent by email.

Data Mirror

Every newly created workspace is automatically provisioned with a default data source and an associated default mapping.

Step 1: Import data to Data Mirror

  1. Go to the Data Mirror Management app:

  1. Check details of existing mappings by clicking the Details button in the Mappings section:

  1. If a new mapping is needed, select the Create Mapping button:
    • Select the mapping file
    • Provide the mapping name
    • Click the Create mapping button

  1. Check existing Data Sources before data upload:
    • Select an existing data source
    • Click the Edit button
    • Check if the correct Mapping file is selected

If the Data Mirror contains some Business Partners, changing the Mapping file will start the transformation job to make sure the data in the CDQ model are up to date.

  1. If a new data source is needed, select the Create Data Source button:
    • Provide the data source name
    • Select the mapping file
    • Click the Create Data Source button

  1. Import the data to the Data Mirror:
    • Select the data source
    • Click the Import data button
    • Choose the file to upload
    • Select the update type
    • Click the Start Import button

Select the update type carefully.
  • Full Update : The import job will delete existing records that are not included in the import file.
  • Update and Insert : The import job will extend your BPs with new data.
  1. Check the job status:

  1. Check the data correctness:
    • Select a data source with imported data
    • Click the Browse button
    • Check the data by selecting the Business Partner
    • See the Business Partner Details in the newly opened details section

The data can be filtered by Country or External ID.

Verify that the mapping of the record accurately reflects the required data in the CDQ model by comparing it with the raw record.

Step 2: Augmetation Configurator

Create a configuration for the Data Quality Rules Engine that is used for the monitoring:

  1. Pick Data Augmentation Configurator from accessible apps
  2. Click the Create new configuration button
  3. Name the new configuration
  4. Click the Create button

  1. Check the Augmentation Configurator table if every configuration has a unique number assigned
  2. Select the newly created configuration for the edition

  1. The configuration contains three main sections. Scroll down to activate Reference Data Sources

  1. Select data sources for Lookup to define which sources should be used for augmentation

  • Use the Lookup checkbox to choose all data sources displayed on the page

  • Use All Lookup options on all pages checkbox to choose all available data sources (all pages)

  1. Go to the Curation settings card

  1. Choose „NATURAL PERSON SCREENING” for Curation Profile

Step 3: Augmetation Monitor

Create an Augmentation Monitor and activate it using the previously created configuration:

  1. Go to the Data Clinic cloud app
  2. Click the Add New Data Monitor button
  3. Configure new monitor
    • Select Data Sources for which the monitor should be turned On
    • Select Augmentation for Monitor Type
    • Choose just created augmentation configuration
    • Select Validity span (optional)

  1. Click Create New Data Monitor button to save
  2. Wait until the job for the new monitor is finished

  1. To generate the Natural Person Screening report, go to the Reports tab of the Data Clinic APP

  1. Click the Generate new report button
  2. Configure the report
    • Provide Report title
    • Choose Natural Person Screening Report for a report type
    • Select data sources (the same as for Data Monitor) *Create a report only for specific countries and choose file format (optional)

  1. Click the „Generate” button to start a job with the report creation
  2. Wait until the job is finished

  1. Download the report
